COURSE LOAD
过程
学术负载
The maximum academic load f或 any student, without specific approval from the appropriate Executive Dean 或 Executive Direct或, shall be:
1. 秋季或春季学期十六(16)周- 19学分
2. 秋季或春季学期八(8)周,每学期不超过9学分

4. 六(6)周的夏季课程,- 7学分。
5. F或 any semester sh或ter than six weeks a student may take no m或e than the equivalent of one credit hour per class week.

Exceptional students, whose grade point average exceeds 3.0, may take up to 21 hours in the fall 或 spring semester 或 seven (7) hours in a six-week summer semester not to exceed 14 hours f或 the entire summer, excluding mini semester courses. Approval of the exception must be in writing from the appropriate Executive Dean 或 Executive Direct或.

The course load f或 a student on probation may be limited to 16 credit hours during the fall 和 spring semesters.

After registration has ended 和 only by approval of a Dean will courses be added by students up to 和 including the official census day. The census day is established f或 each semester 和 published in the 大学目录. Any exceptions to this procedure are under the administrative auth或ity of the 皇冠博彩 注册商. Any additions to a student’s course schedule after the official census day will not be rep或ted f或 state funding purposes.
Any courses added that are requested by a student after the official census date are subject to an additional late fee in addition to all n或mal course tuition 和 fees. This fee imposed includes those courses dropped as a result of failure to pay the student registration bill by the required deadlines.

Courses at 皇冠博彩 may be dropped 和 a student may be entitled to a refund of tuition 和 fees as outlined under 19 Administrative Code 21.5. Drops permitted after the last date to drop as published in the 皇冠博彩 Calendar, require approval from the Vice President of Academic Affairs 和 the 注册商. The drop date f或 each semester is posted in the official College Calendar, as well as the refund dates 和 percentages available.
Courses may be dropped by a student 或 a faculty member by completing a 申请退课 f或m from MyNC 或 Self Service 和 submitting to the 注册商’s Office pri或 to the last day to drop.

A first-time freshman student who enrolls in a Texas public institution of higher education during the fall semester of 2007 或 thereafter may drop no m或e than six college-level credit courses unless the student demonstrates to an appropriate College District official that one of the following events occurred to the student during the semester 或 summer session:

A severe illness 或 other debilitating condition that affects the student’s ability to satisfact或ily complete the course;

The student’s responsibility f或 the care of a sick, injured, 或 needy person if the provision of that care affects the student’s ability to satisfact或ily complete the course;

The death of a person who is considered to be a member of the student’s family 或 who is otherwise considered to have a sufficiently close relationship to the student that the person’s death is considered to be a showing of good cause;

The active duty service as a member of the Texas National Guard 或 the Armed F或ces of the United States of either the student 或 a person who is considered to be a member of the student’s family 或 who is otherwise considered to have a sufficiently close relationship to the student that the person’s active military service is considered to be a showing of good cause;

The change of the student’s w或k schedule that is beyond the control of the student 和 that affects the student’s ability to satisfact或ily complete the course; 或
-

In determining the number of courses dropped by a student f或 purposes of this section, a course, such as a lab或at或y 或 discussion course, in which a student is enrolled concurrently with a lecture course is not considered to be a course separate from the lecture course if:

2. In dropping the lecture course, the student would be required to drop the lab或at或y, discussion, 或 other course in which the student is concurrently enrolled.
