皇冠博彩 has adopted grievance resolution procedures to comply with 第九条, as amended and published on May 19, 2020, and which provide for the prompt and equitable resolution of student and employee grievances alleging dating violence, domestic violence, gender-based harassment, retaliation, sex discrimination, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and stalking (hereafter referred to as “prohibited conduct”). These grievance resolution procedures include information on how to report or file a grievance of prohibited conduct and how 皇冠博彩 will respond once it has actual notice of an allegation of prohibited conduct.
皇冠博彩’s 第九条 grievance resolution procedures apply equally to all Navarro College students and employees participating in or attempting to participate in Navarro College’s education program or activity.
Additionally, these grievance resolution procedures only apply to prohibited conduct that impacted a person in the United States.

The right to a prompt, fair, impartial, unbiased, and equitable process from the initiation of the formal grievance process through the final result.

The right to supportive measures as reasonably available and which may include course schedule adjustment, work schedule reassignments, student housing changes, no contact directives, and/or criminal trespass notices.

The right to inspect and review any evidence obtained as part of the investigation that is directly related to the allegation(s).

The right to be assisted by an advisor of your choosing, who may be, but is not required to be, an attorney, during the formal grievance process. Please note that Navarro College is only required to provide an advisor during the live hearing phase of the formal grievance process. Therefore, prior to the live hearing phase, reporting parties and responding parties may provide their own advisor if they desire to do so.

The right to be informed in writing of the date, time, location, participants, and purpose of all hearings, investigative interviews, or other meetings, with sufficient time to prepare to participate.

The right to be informed that the responding party is presumed not responsible until the conclusion of the formal grievance process when a determination is made.

Informal resolution is prohibited in any case where an employee is accused of engaging in prohibited conduct against a student. 皇冠博彩 will not require the parties to waive their rights to a formal process and agree to informal resolution as a condition of enrollment or employment.

The right to be notified in writing of
a. the results of any disciplinary proceeding and/or appeal(s) that arise from your formal grievance of prohibited conduct;
b. 皇冠博彩's procedures to appeal the results of the disciplinary proceeding and/or appeal(s);

d. when the results become final. The rights and options listed above will be afforded equally to both the reporting party and responding party. -

While all types of Sexual Misconduct are inappropriate and taken seriously by the College, actions involving Sexual Assault (as defined in Exhibit B) are particularly concerning. Thus, if you are the victim/survivor of a Sexual Assault, the College’s first priority is to help you take steps to address your safety, medical needs and emotional well-being. You are encouraged to take the following actions, as applicable, regardless of whether you have made a decision about whether to pursue criminal or College disciplinary charges.

Ensure Your Physical Safety
You may seek help from local law enforcement agencies or by contacting Campus Police. Campus Police can assist you with contacting local law enforcement and can help you obtain transportation to the local law enforcement office. Campus Police are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. -
Seek Medical Assistance and Treatment
Local options for medical care include any of the hospitals listed in the resources below. It is crucial that you obtain medical attention as soon as possible after a Sexual Assault to determine the possibilities of physical injury and to prevent or treat sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV). Medical facilities can also screen for the presence of sedative drugs such as Rohypnol or GHB (date-rape-drugs).
Employees at the College can help with contacting the closest facility to receive medical services. -
Obtain Emotional Support
皇冠博彩 Counseling & Advising can help victims/survivors sort through their feeling and begin the recover process. The professional counselors are trained to provide crisis intervention on short-term and emergency issues. Counseling is free of charge to all students. In some instances, the law may require the disclosure of information shared by students with counselors. However, absent a legal mandate to the contrary, counseling services are strictly confidential, are not part of students; 学业成绩，不会报告给其他学院工作人员。 -
Obtain Information / Report Misconduct
You are encouraged to report incidents of Sexual Assault to the College’s 第九条 Coordinator, Deputy 第九条协调员, 第九章调查员 or other designated individuals or offices as outlined in the Sexual Misconduct Policy and these Procedures (even if you have filed a report directly with law enforcement). Further information about how to report Sexual Assault is provided in the body of the 皇冠博彩 Sexual Misconduct Policy and these Procedures. College staff can help you access resources if requested and can provide you with support and information, including information on the College’s procedures for investigating and addressing instances of Sexual Assault.
