皇冠博彩 prospective 住宅 Life students must complete the 皇冠博彩 Release of Background Information form (RBI) as part of the 住宅 Life Application process. The 住宅 Life Application becomes valid when the complete application (both parts) is returned with the housing deposit fee ($240), a copy of the applicant’s driver license or State Identification Card and the non-refundable $10 processing fee. An incomplete Release of Background Information (RBI) form will void the Navarro College 住宅 Life Application.

Upon receipt of the 住宅 Life Application with the complete Release of Background Information (RBI) form and the non-refundable $10 processing fee, the 住宅 Life Department will process the background check of the applying student.

The findings of this background check will be evaluated and compared to the Navarro College 住宅 Life Criminal History Standards. If the background check results in a negative report (“No Record”), the 皇冠博彩 住宅 Life staff will declare that the applicant is “符合条件的” for consideration for 住宅 Life.

If the Criminal History Check reports that the applicant has a Criminal History, the information will then be evaluated according to the 皇冠博彩 住宅 Life Criminal History Standards. If the applicant does not meet the standards, a declaration of “In符合条件的” will be made. The applicant who does not meet the standards will be notified by mail that he/she will not be entered on the placement list for 住宅 Life at this time. The procedures for refund of the deposit and the appeal will be explained in the letter.

Each applicant who fails to meet the 皇冠博彩 住宅 Life Criminal History Standards and has been deemed “In符合条件的” may contest or review the declaration of “In符合条件的” by using the following procedures:

  • If an appeal is made, the student should have a fingerprint record submitted in order to confirm Identity. The student will need to complete the DPS Computerized Criminal History (CCH) Verification form that will be provided on the in符合条件的 letter.

  • Within three (3) working days of receipt of the “In符合条件的” letter, the prospective applicant will contact 住宅 Life and schedule a time for review of the information.

  • 申请人必须携带声明他/她已被宣布为“不符合资格”的信件。

  • The applicant will be required to bring copies of all certified judicial court decrees that negate the validity of the criminal charge(s) and their dismissal.

  • 住宿生活审查小组将审查提供的所有相关信息。 If the charges are shown to be “invalid”, the 住宅 Life Review Team shall re-submit a declaration of “符合条件的” to the 皇冠博彩 住宅 Life Department.

Copies of all documents or records that are submitted, during the review, will be placed on file. All record inquiries and submitted documents shall be considered confidential, and will not be released.

After review, if the applicant’s record submitted to the 住宅 Life Department is changed to “符合条件的”, the 住宅 Life Department will verify that the housing deposit has not been refunded. The 住宅 Life applicant’s name will be entered on the placement list for room assignment. If the housing deposit of $230 has been refunded, the deposit must be re-submitted to the 住宅 Life Department before the applicant will be added to the placement list.

  • (Class B or C Traffic Misdemeanors will not be considered as an offense that will be used to decline an application)

All aggravated felony convictions that resulted in a death, aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, aggravated sexual assault or the delivery of a felony amount of narcotics will be cause to decline a 住宅 Life Application.

注意: No applicant, who is on parole or probation for the following offenses, will be considered for 住宅 Life:

  • 谋杀

  • 谋杀未遂

  • 过失杀人

  • 性侵犯

  • 加重攻击罪

  • 加重抢劫

  • 对儿童、长者或残障人士造成伤害

  • 使用枪支的致命行为

  • 持有/出售数量超过200克的非法毒品

  • Controlled Substance Dealer (Youth classified for felony-level drug manufacturing or delivery)

  • 刑事征集

  • 猥亵儿童

  • 纵火

  • 共谋犯下这些罪行

注意: 这些是指导方针，并不打算包括所有的犯罪或情况。 The Housing Appeal Committee has discretion to approve or disapprove applicants in accordance with these guidelines and to make determinations as to whether the criminal history of an individual will be used to decline a housing application. The Housing Appeal Committee also has discretion to deny the application of an individual arrested for a crime if these charges are still pending. The Housing Appeal Committee reserves the right to determine the equivalency of the convictions above if occurred outside the state of Texas. The decision of the Housing Appeal Committee is considered final and binding.
