STUDENT RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
学术诚信
过程
学术诚信
学院要求所有学生在任何时候都要做自己的作业。 Any student guilty of dishonesty in academic work is subject to instructional consequences as defined in the course syllabus or departmental h和book 和 may include any of the following: a grade of zero, course failure, or removal from the program. A faculty member may begin such action if a student is accused of “cheating on academic work.” 作弊包括但不限于:
-
抄袭他人的试卷或学术成果;
-
在测试过程中使用未经测试人许可的材料;
-
Collaborating without authority with another person during an examination or in preparing academic work;
-
Knowingly using, buying, selling, stealing, transporting or soliciting, in whole or in part, the contents of a test prior to its being fully administered or without permission;
-
Substituting for another student or permitting another person to substitute for oneself to take a test or prepare other academic work;
-
Stealing 和 deliberately using ideas or writings of others without giving written credit to them (plagiarism); 和
-
Using an AI-content generator (such as ChatGPT) to complete coursework without proper attribution or authorization;
-
Submitting one's own work which has been previously published or submitted for another class. Reusing or re-purposing previously submitted work is referred to as self-plagiarism 和 is considered cheating.
Students who are unsure whether something may be plagiarism or academic dishonesty should contact their instructor to discuss the issue prior to the assignment due date 和 before submitting the assignment.
When a student is accused of academic dishonesty, the faculty member 和 the student will attempt to reach a resolution first 和 based on the course syllabus. If no resolution is achieved, the student may appeal to the appropriate instructional dean for review of the decision made by the instructor.
If the incident includes a violation of a departmental program requirement as stated in the course syllabus or departmental h和book, a student’s written appeal should be reviewed through the instructional chain of comm和.
Only non-instructional testing violations occurring in the testing center (e.g., TSI, GED testing) may result in disciplinary review by Student Services.
