A graduate of the University of North Texas, Worsham began his long teaching career at Corsicana High School.

He left Corsicana to serve his country in the United States Navy during the early 1960’s and moved to Snyder in 1966.

At Snyder, Worsham led his students to a record in 13 state championships in one-act play competition, earning a distinction as the most successful theater director in U.I.L. history. In fact, Worsham’s record is unmatched by any coach or director of any sport or activity in Texas interscholastic history.
